Justin Bytell started his
musical journey in the fourth grade when he took up the saxophone. A few years later, he was introduced to the piano and the guitar.
Justin is a well rounded instrumentalist, as he is proficient in
both instruments. Justin’s major influences include Frank Zappa,
Jerry Garcia, Page McConnell, Lowell George, Mark Mercier of Max
Creek, Steely Dan, and Earth, Wind, and Fire.
Justin also plays with
singer/songwriter Brendon Donahue. Other projects have included:
Circus Fire, The Bar Band, Colonel Calliope, Tung, and The Long Road
Back.
Justin is best known for his
distinctive piano accompaniment, which is a signature of Dog Star
Blue’s incredible sound. |
